R6.6 is created due to the release of a very good sounding "GEC" KT66 replica from Guiguang of Guangxi, China. To revive the magic of this classic KT66 sound, we use a dedicated KT66 circuit and the Reference series chassis to realize the R6.6. Same as the R9.9, it uses cherry wood at the top with large machined aluminum front panel. At the center of the front panel we use a special power indicator tube 6E2. Apart from giving user an idea of the output power, it enhances the appearance of the unit when in operation.

Each channel uses a Sovtek 12AX7LPS as first SRPP stage with 60s NEC 12AU7 NOS acting as the driver stage. The power stage uses two Guiguang KT66 in the classic push-pull class A configuration. The R6.6 is a fixed bias design with internal individual bias adjustment for each KT66 for optimal tube operation.  The toroidal power transformer and output transformer are of the same high grade from the Signature series. Additional choke filtering is employed for super clean DC supply.

All in all the R6.6 represents a milestone in the Consonance line of integrated tube amplifiers, the most affordable product in the Reference series and is available immediately.
